Our client considered the leading global electronics digital entertainment and mobile brand is searching for a Cashier for their Mall of Africa store

Key Responsibilities
Greeting and thanking the customer for the business
Preparation of the tills on a day to day basis
Collection of float from the cash office
Providing good customer service
Ensuring that the correct change and receipt has been given to the customer
Ensuring the daily cash up is done on a daily basis

Key performance areas KPA
Counting and recording money received or paid out and balancing against cash register sales records
Ensure that the balance total reading daily
Ensure that the total difference is plus/ minus R500

Giving change and issuing receipts
Ensure tax invoices/receipts are issued to customers
Ensure change corresponds with invoice/receipts or refund

Operating cash register to calculate total to be paid
Ensure clear understanding of the operation of Titan till points
Ensure corrections are being done timeously
Ensure items are scanned and prices are checked
Ensure sign in for float is done timeously
Relieving administration supervisor when day off or on leave

Receiving and verifying payment by cash cheque credit card or automatic debit in stores
Ensure bank notes are verified
Ensure credit card readings balance with card reading
Ensure authorisation of card is printed and recorded

Receiving incoming cash checking it against sales slips and other documents and preparing it for deposit at bank
Ensure that the cash in the tills never exceed R5000
Ensure cash is ready for depositing to bank timeously

Wrapping and placing merchandise in bags
Ensure items are placed in carrier bag if needed
Ensure all deliveries are given to security to be checked
Thank customer for the business

Requirements
Matric
1 year experience as a cashier
