Our client based in Johannesburg is searching for a Structural Engineer

Key performance areas
Initiate task plan and coordinate with engineering consultants
Negotiate and finalise the deliverables
Perform civil engineering duties in planning designing and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities
Coordinate between site managers subcontractors and engineering consultants
Quality control as per the designs
Undertaking technical and feasibility studies and site investigations
Using advanced computer packages in developing detailed designs
Assessing the potential risks as well as undertaking risk management in specialist roles
Managing supervising and visiting contractors on site and advising according to the designs
Scheduling material and personnel requirements
Adopting all relevant requirements around building permits environmental regulations good building practices and safety on all work assignments
Ensuring that a project runs smoothly and that the structure is completed on time and within budget
Correcting any project deficiencies that affect production quality and safety requirements before final evaluation and project reviews

Requirements
Tertiary qualification with a minimum of a degree in Civil and Structural Engineering
Registration with ECSA
Know how of relevant software
Minimum of 15 years experience in Civil and Structural engineering
Position held in a big 5 construction company

Salary Market related
