Our client is searching for a highly experienced Store Manager for their Durban central store The ideal candidate will be one who has strong retail management with large clothing/ fashion retailers
Key performance areas Increase the profitability of the store by increasing sales and decreasing expenses Monitor sales performance by department category item and take steps to achieve budget sales Ensures that space utilisation is planned using the sales contribution by the department and the space measurements of the store Control expenses within budget and operational efficiency including operational costs salaries markdowns shrinkage breakages etc Liaises with Merchandise Manager/Buyers to recommend changes improvements in merchandise mix and report on fast and slow sellers Review stock plans with Merchandise Manager/Buyers to ensure that they are in line with space available Housekeeping Store layout and fixturing Staff and people management including recruitment selection labour scheduling staff development IR etc Security Operations Customer Service Promotions Administration and Systems
Requirements Matric/ Grade 12 Related tertiary qualification would be an advantage 5 to 8 years related store management experience Must have experience managing more than 50 permanent staff as well as more than 50 casual staff Must have experience with a large clothing retailer
Salary Market related plus car allowance
